2. The Big Apple has the building style of an old Jewish Synagogue and has a large stained glass mural in the middle of the roof with the Star of David at its center. There is a dance floor on the first floor and a balcony area on the second floor that looks of the dance floor. This is because of its original purpose as a Synagogue. The men were separated from the women and sat on the first floor, while the women sat on the balcony on the second floor. The name was derived from the famous Big Apple dance which was created there. The building was once called, Fat Sam's.
3. The Shag is a dance that largely consists of leg kicks and fancy footwork. The name "Shag" is a broad term that denotes a number of swing dances that came about during the earlier part of the 20th century. The origins of the dace can be traced to the Southern part of the United States during the early 1930's. The dance is especially relevant to South Carolina because it is thought to have descended from the Carolina Jitterbug and the Little Apple. Both were local dance styles that originated in South Carolina.

The photograph is a 12x12 piece which is owned by the Morrison Hotel Gallery. The photograph is of Eric Clapton in a hotel room and was taken by his wife, Pattie Boyd, in 1974. It is a chromogenic print which means it is full color photographic print made using chromogenic materials and processes.
The photo is of Eric Clapton sitting in a anonymous hotel room in nothing but a towel with a cigarette in his hand. His guitar is sitting next to him on a shiny red 70's style couch. There is also a painting on the wall above the couch of a couple sitting on a beach staring out to sea. Clapton is not looking at the camera, instead he is facing in a different direction. Clapton seems to convey a sense of solitude in the photo, while the title ("Another Hotel Room") suggests the lack of variety and repetition of being on the road.
